THE USE OF COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS FOR FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract
Thesis analyzes the aspects of the use of Computer Information Technologies (CIT) in the educational process and their potential with regard to primary school teachers and fourth grade students, when used at the Lithuanian language lessons. Fourth grade students, who are not advanced in learning the IT, were chosen. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the use of CIT in the Lithuanian language lessons for fourth grade students. Objectives of the study – analyze the scientific, methodological literature of the thesis, investigate teachers' attitudes to ICT for Fourth Grade students, fourth graders study approach to ICT in the educational process. Methods applied: analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire survey, observation, statistic alanalysis. The first part deals with the scientific literature and resources on the subject at hand. ICT (computers, interactive whiteboard, internet) offers more opportunities to diversify, integrate a variety of things, modernizing the educational process. Digital learning tools and programs designed to teachtheLithuanianlanguageweretheoreticallyoverviewedandappliedinpractice, the importance of digital learning tools in the educational process was discussed. Teacher questionnaire data revealed the key reasons why respondents rarely use ICT in their activities. The Lithuanian language lessons for fourth grade students were analyzed, observed and conducted. ICT provide for more opportunities to diversify, integrate various subjects; modernize the educational process; encourage students to feel motivated to work, realize learning objectives; and facilitate the work of teachers. There is still a lack of experience, desire and knowledge of ways to effectively use CIT in the educational process, so that all teachers would be able to use CIT during lessons and demonstrate their knowledge. Schools are still not fully equipped with CIT tools.
