The use of ICT for academic development in sociology students at UNC - 2018

Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are a contemporary pedagogical trend that has spread rapidly due to its immediate advantages and its highly technical and assertive language, which have the purpose of increasing the efficiency of the teaching process and the academic development of students. . The purpose of the research work was to establish the relationship between the use of information and communication technologies by teachers and the academic development of sociology students at the National University of Cajamarca. The relational research design was chosen, the population was made up of twenty-five teachers from the professional academic school of sociology and the sample was the entire population because it was small. For the data collection of the ICT use variable, document analysis was used as a technique and the observation guide as an instrument, while for the academic development variable the questionnaire was used as a technique and the observation guide as an instrument. The results of the statistical processing allowed us to affirm that there is a direct and significant relationship between the variables the use of Tics and academic development, in addition to the significance value =.001, then (p<0.05), for which the hypothesis was rejected. null and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. As a general conclusion, it was argued that there was a relationship between the use of ICT and the performance of the students of the EAP of Sociology of the National University of Cajamarca, 2018.
