POWER, MONEY AND PLEASURES. MACHIAVELISM IN LATIN AMERICAN POLITICS AND PERU

Abstract
This article refers to public activity and the different conflicts and crisis situations of a moral, ethical and political nature by different political figures in the world and, particularly, in Peru. To do this, within the qualitative approach, the secondary sources of the documentary historical study and the case study are used, with the respective analysis of the information provided by the journalistic, police, judicial and academic investigation. Likewise, psychological aspects of disposition are addressed, which explain the motivations that prompted these people to be linked to politics, regardless of whether they develop specific behaviors without any scruple. For Owen, some causes would be narcissism and all what is associated with it, such as the search for power, money and pleasures as ends in themselves. To conclude, it is necessary that, based on this work, further research be carried out, with the purpose of knowing more about this complex sociopolitical, psychological and cultural phenomenon.
