THE WORLD OF INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC IN THE MEMOIRS BY BOGDAN LEPKY

Abstract
The article deals with the analysis of Bohdan Lepky’s impressions from instrumental music which he expressed in his memoir prose. At the center of the research analysis is the book of the writer «The Tale of My Life». It is defined the composition and repertoire of a peculiar virtual «orchestra of Bohdan Lepky», as well as spectrum of musical genres which interested the writer – from elite to egalitarian music, the individual canon of composer names. The author’s ability to visualize musical images is underlined. It is proved that musical experience gained during staying in European influenced on the expansion of the writer’s musical preferences. Lepky’s exclusively emotional perception of instrumental music has motivational role for his self-expression in literature.
