THEME THE ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF AGRICULTURE IN THE TERNOPIL REGION AND THE POSSIBILITY OF ITS EFFECTIVE USE

Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of the economic potential of agriculture in the Ternopil region, the prob- lems and trends of its development. The present state of socio-economic development of agriculture, theoretical aspects of estimation of economic potential is analyzed. The general provisions of concerning the economic potential of the region are de- termined. Based on evaluations (SWOT-analysis, expert assessments and estimates of the population) a certain rank of problems of economic and social development of the region by degree of severity are determined. The competitive advantages of the Ternopil region for the more dynamic development of agriculture are determined.
