Abstract
The article investigates the legal nature of public agencies as central authorities of Ukraine. The author formulates his own definition of State Agency of Ukraine; singled out their specific features; the attention is focused on the approaches to the classification of government agencies and are given their own criteria for the classification of government agencies Ukraine.
