THEORETICAL APPROACHES TO THE ASSESSMENT OF PROTECTIONISM IN THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE PRACTICE

Abstract
This article considers the possibility of the policy of protectionism in foreign trade policy. The emergence and development of free trade and protectionism, its variety are researched. Arguments for and against the application of protectionist policies are presented. Functions, tariff and non-tariff instruments of foreign trade policy are considered.
