Theoretical Aspect Of The Forms Of International Technology Transfer By Transnational Corporations. Foreign Direct Investments And Their Role In The Process Of Diffusion Of Technology In Poland

Abstract
An important factor deciding on the positive impact of foreign direct investments (FDI) on the economy is the need to stimulate the development of own research potential and the innovation growth of domestic enterprises. There is a strong feedback between the inflow of foreign direct investment and the development of domestic technology potential. FDI is the primary channel for international technology transmission, thus contributing to domestic technology level growth. On the other hand, conducting domestic research and development increases the effectiveness of technical knowledge diffusion and exerts a positive impact on the structure of inward investment.
