Theoretical basis of the use of gender approach in public space planning

Abstract
The article examines the formation of a gender-oriented approach in planning of the public space of rural communities (public space) in the context of rural development policy. The attention is drawn to gender-oriented planning as an integral part of the person-centered concept of public adminis- tration and as a means of more efficient use of local budgets. The advantages of gender-sensitive planning are substantiated and the algorithm of its use in planning of development of rural commu- nities is offered.
