Theoretical Foundations of Safety and Prevention of Occupational Risks in Organizations

Abstract

The protection of workers against diseases and accidents related to their work environment is a fundamental issue for business organizations, therefore, the objective of safety and prevention of health risks at work in any field already any level must be mainlyto warn in a timely manner the dangers and not to subsequently mitigate their consequences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the theoretical foundations of safety and prevention of occupational risks in organizations. It was made up of a non-experimental, documentary and descriptive study. Different legal and bibliographic sources and investigative background were reviewed. As a conclusion, it was obtained that the safety and prevention of occupational risks in the organization tries to guarantee the physical, psychosocial and environmental well-being of the workers through the establishment of processes and procedures for the identification, collection, processing, analysis and interpretation of information on work accidents, occupational diseases and risks at work based on the health of workers
