Theories and comparison of several methods for measuring layer charge density of montmorillonites
Journal Title: Science Paper Online - Year 2008, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
Layer charge is the main parameter of montmorillonite, it determines the properties, processing methods and applications of montmorillonite. In this paper, the research status quo of the methods for determination of layer charge density were presented; the theories and measurement procedure of alkylammonium method, structural formulae method, cation exchange capacity method and methylene blue method were introduced in detail; advantages and disadvantages of each method were compared. It was presented that on the choosing of measurement methods, several factors should be considered, such as the purity and particle size of samples, the properties of impurities, and the requirements for accuracy and speediness.

A new modeling method for magnetic levitation system
This paper proposes a new modeling method for magnetic levitation system to minimize the discrepancy between established model and reality. The method adopts coil parameter identification and balanced current/position me...
QoS techniques in mobile Ad hoc networks
Due to the dynamic topology and bandwidth constraint of Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANET),supporting Quality of Service in MANET has great difference with that in fixed wired network. In this paper we present the techniques...
The uniqueness of the decomposition of an algebra with trivial annihilator
In this paper any finite dimensional algebra with trivial annihilator is proven to be decomposed into the direct sum of indecomposable ideals and the decomposition is unique without considering the order of the ideals.
Fabrication of Conducting Polymer Nanotubes/wires via a Reactive Self-Degraded Template
Polypyrrole nanotubes with high electric conductivity and azo function have been fabricated in high yield via an in-situ polymerization. During the process fibrillar complex of FeCl3 and methyl orange (MO), acting as a r...
