THREATS, RISKS AND PERSONAL SAFETY DURING THE ARREST OFFENDERS

Abstract
The article deals with issues related to threat, risk and personal security during the arrest of the offender. Particular attention is paid to the use of firearms during the arrest of the offender. Actions of modern public safety officers are not always well-timed and adequate especially when it comes to the use of firearms that causes the violation of lawfulness of the firearms use. Sometimes public safety officers when using firearms do not know tactics and methods of firearms handling. Citizens using firearms within limits of justifiable defence or extreme necessity normally cannot be viewed as a real deed of crime and the armed assault itself can be imaginable. These and other factors clearly indicate that the legal awareness of citizens regarding of the firearms use for self-defence leaves something to be desired.
