To Study The Effect of Pretreatment With Ephedrine on The Intubating Condition And Hemodynamic Characteristics on The Rocuronium In Patient Undergoing General Anaesthesia: A Randomised Controlled Study

Abstract
Onset time of neuromuscular blocking drugs depends on the rate at which a pharmacologically effective concentration is achieved in the neuromuscular junctional cleft which in turn is determined by muscle blood flow and cardiac output. Ephedrine being a potent sympathomimetic can produce an increase cardiac output and muscle blood flow thereby increasing the onset time of rocuronium. The objective of the study was to study the effect of pretreatment with ephedrine on the intubating conditions and duration of effect and hemodynamic characteristics using rocuronium.
