TO THE ISSUE OF SETTING THE PROBLEM OF VARIABILITY IN LINGUISTICS

Abstract
The article reviews the nature of the differences in linguistic units and the forms of their manifestation. The article looks into the variability and variance of linguistic units associated with different parts of the linguistic system and the history of research on these issues. The study showed that variability is possible in all tiers of the language. Variability at the syntactic level is investigated on the basis of a sentence. For this purpose, the types of simple sentences are identified as per the communicative characteristics, and the variability of their intonations is considered.
