To the problem of studying the motivational sphere of students with intellectual disabilities

Abstract
The article analyzed and submitted for consideration by the main theoretical approaches to the problem of the study of motivational sphere of students with intellectual disabilities. Analyzed studies of the motivational sphere of children with normal development and mentally retarded. The influence of self-esteem on the motives of behavior and activity, which is supported by the author’s research, is shown. The main ways of forming the motivational sphere of middle school students of a special school through the formation of adequate self-esteem are proposed.
