TO THE QUESTION OF MENTALITY CONTENT AS A SCIENTIFIC PROBLEM

Abstract
Human consciousness is being reviewed by various disciplines, including psychology. Psychological content of consciousness is associated with emotional and volitional side of human conscious activity. There is also a cognitive aspect associated with thinking, acquisition of new knowledge, etc. Altogether it is often described as mentality. This also includes the manifestation of social content, such as ethnic consciousness and world outlook, perceptions of social status, etc. As it can be seen, this is an extremely broad term used by specialists in many disciplines, including psychology. Content of the mentality is the core of human’s self-image, his inner content, self-assessment, motivation, showing his interaction with social environment, growing as a person. In this sense, the study of the mentality issue at the level of an individual or entire nation, an ethnic group, generations within the same family is of ultimate importance.
