TOPICAL ISSUES OF IMPROVING THE ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION OF UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROINTEGRATION PROCESSES

Abstract
The scientific publication examines current issues and directions for improving the environmental legislation of Ukraine in the context of Ukraine's integration into the EU. It is noted that the European Union is the leader in solving global environmental problems. Successful integration of Ukraine into European structures depends on effective implementation of the adopted laws, including legislation in the environmental sphere. Important is the real implementation of the updated National Strategy of approximation (approximation) of Ukrainian legislation to the EU law in the field of environmental protection, developed by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine. A promising direction for improving the environmental legislation of Ukraine is to strengthen legal responsibility for environmental delicts and crimes, as well as the development of the Environmental Code of Ukraine.
