Total shoulder replacement: a nobel option for severe osteoarthritis of shoulder

Journal Title: JOURNAL OF MEDICAL COLLEGE CHANDIGARH - Year 2015, Vol 5, Issue 2

Abstract

Arthritis of glenohumeral joint is not common. Treatment options for such a severe case of glenohumeral arthritis are either arthrodesis or shoulder replacement. Shoulder arthrodesis leads to painless fixed joint. However, shoulder replacement is a preferred option in elderly population. Here we describe a case where this technique was used successfully.
