TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION PHENOMENON IN THE WORKS OF GREAT PHILOSOPHERS

Abstract
The problems of the study of the status and the role of education in the modern historical and philosophical context. Found historical and philosophical laws of formation of the concept of education and the basic ways of conceptualizing, deep processes of evolution of the phenomenon of education in the philosophical discourse of ancient and medieval; identified historical and philosophical contours of the conceptualization of education; summarizes the historical and philosophical practices of the formation of the phenomenon of education on a global civilization process. Also analyzed education as a component of historical and philosophical system in conjunction with a set of cultural, social and ideological trends in the context of the history of philosophy of modernity, in which the study of the transformation processes of higher education is of paramount importance.
