TRANSFORMATION OF THE GENRE «NOVEL-MYth» IN V. JESHKILEV’S CREATIVE WORK

Abstract

The article is devoted to problem of functioning of the myth in the structure of the intellectual novel. The material of the study is the prose of V. Jeshkiljev which embodies the theory of «text of Demiurg». This is the personal world of the artist which constructs another spiritual reality, reviving the initial (esoteric) content of mythological motifs and images. The ideological discourse prose V. Jeshkiljev focused on the world of drama of the spirit, introduction to the mystery of the sacred, to the definition of the spiritual path of humanity. These aspects are implemented in the historical part of the narrative — a metahistorical concept of being human, which is the conceptual core of the writer’s works. Its paradigm of reinterpreted by Gnostic myth of Sophia (the story of exile from Pleroma, the ritual of the bridal chamber, androgynous). «Language,» «posts» of this doctrine («internal Encyclopedia ») is a vast intertextual matrix, which involves different cultural codes: the eastern (Indian (Vedic), Tibetan, Turkish) traditions, Western (History of Freemasonry), national mythology, the Bible, Gnostic teachings and the various esoteric systems. Extrapolating the conceptual Jung’s matrix theory on V. Jeshkiljev’s metahistorical concept may disclose its Gnostic undertones: the writer reproduces the process of development of human civilization as a spiritual degradation, domination him. Time, peace, history, past and present is the embodiment of «dark» (the devil) unconscious human ego that causes wars, disasters, and national existence — prevents the spiritual revival of the nation, national reconstruction «primordialal tradition» R. Genon), which designed to ensure freedom and individual development, protection of Ukrainians.
