The war situation in the Syrian and Iraqi regions neighboring to Turkey’s geography requires examination in terms of many social science fields. One of the areas where the need for examination is the domain of Translation Studies. The soldiers of countries fighting in a region where they do not know its language, are harshly confronted with the translation phenomenon. Because the language, thereby the translation, which is the basic agreement between people, becomes a vital phenomenon in the context of war. Great difficulties are faced during these translation processes that take place in the context of war. This phenomenon is evident especially in the case of land conflicts between American troops and Iraqi groups in Iraq or where local people are involved.
