TRANSLATION PECULIARITIES OF GERMAN AGRICULTURAL TERMS

Abstract
Analysis of translation transformations in agrarian terms translation process. Introduction. Professional terms are a key component of scientific and technical texts and represent of the main difficulties of their translation due to their ambiguity, lack of equivalents of new terms in the target language, as well as certain differences in the terminology formation process in the German and Ukrainian languages. Most linguists emphasize that an adequate translation of terms presupposes, first of all, the excellent knowledge of the translator of the field of science or technology to which the source text belongs, and, secondly, understanding the content of the terms in the source language and knowledge of the terminology of the native language. The agrarian sector is crucial for the development of the economy. Achievements of agricultural sector in a global context are difficult to overestimate. As international communication plays a key role in business, attention of linguists is focused on the translation of terms - the units that have always encountered difficulties in interpreting. Purpose. The aim of the article is to determine the specificity of agrarian terms, to highlight the points of view on this problem of scholars and to analyze the role of translation transformations in the process of interpretation of agrarian terms. Results. The research showed that the main reason for the use of such transformations as concretization and generalization is the difference in the semantic volume of German and Ukrainian lexemes. These interpreting techniques are most common and allow the translator to expand or narrow the language phenomenon. Narrowing the value of the output lexeme is used to convert the linguistic unit so that it becomes understandable for the native speaker. Conclusion. Despite the intensity of globalization processes, the translator must take into account the fact that each language system develops independently: it has its own language realities, fixed culture-specific terms and there appear neologisms that do not yet have the equivalent at the moment of translation into other languages. The translation of agrarian terminology remains particularly relevant for the development economy, as an adequate translation of scientific and technical terminology optimizes communication processes in business as well as in science. The main tools of an interpreter, when translating agrarian terms from German into Ukrainian, are lexical and grammatical transformations that allow the text to be adapted to the realities of the target language.
