Translation specifics of French scientific and technical patent literature

Abstract
The article reviews main features of the translation of scientific and technical texts, the French patent documentation in particular, since this type of activity is becoming more relevant due to the acceleration of scientific and technological progress in the modern world. The article highlights the linguistic features of French scientific and technical literature which significantly affect the specifics of its translation into Ukrainian. The article also analyses certain linguistic features of scientific and technical literature at lexico-grammatical, morphological and syntactic levels.
