TREATMENT-RESISTANT DEPRESSION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEFENSE: CLINICAL PATTERNS

Abstract
The clinical profile of patients with resistant depression exhibited significant diversity in symptoms, comorbidities, and disease progression characteristics. It was found that the intensity of psychological defenses, such as repression and denial, significantly impacts the treatment outcome in patients with resistant depression. Additionally, key predictors of the effectiveness of various therapeutic interventions were identified to optimize treatment strategies
