TRUMP`S WATERGATE?

Abstract
There are quite a number of similarities between the present time and the 1970s – in those days the “currency manipulators” were the French who were busy exchanging dollars for gold to undermine the USD-gold peg rather than the Chinese of today, or the running down of a major war, then Vietnam and now the “War on Terror” both–but it is, of course, the allegory of President Trump`s own possible “Watergate” and impeachment, which demands our consideration. It is said that history does not repeat itself but that it does often rhyme, which I take as the underlying thrust of this article as we seek to compare the present situation of the Trump Presidency with that of the then President Nixon. A visit to Nixon`s presidential museum at Yorba Linda about two years ago and a library stocked with books on Nixon, should assist in this undertaking.
