Abstract
Purpose. Improving the usage of technical resources of the MPC systems for diagnostics of the state of turnouts under operation. Methodology. For diagnosis and monitoring the status of turnouts, it is proposed to use the current consumption curve stored in the MPC and determine the state of turnout automatically by using spectral analysis as well as time dependence of cur-rent. After extending the system with means of measurement of the point machine’s voltage the possibility to provide more detailed diagnostics of a turnout appears. Results. Means and meth-ods for integrated testing of turnouts with DC and AC machines have been developed either for a relay interlocking or microcomputer interlocking. Scientific novelty. In this work, a subsystem for integrated testing of a turnout with measurement of the point machine’s voltage is obtained, which allows improve the accuracy of diagnostic results of a turnout in comparison with other diagnostic systems. Practical value. In addition to analysis of a current consumption curve, the developed subsystem makes it possible to determine the current voltages on the exciting winding, calculate the necessary parameters of the machine’s resistance during the current operation, improve the quality of service of the track devices, extend the service life due to conditional maintenance, extend the service life of the point machines and raise the operational dependability of interlocking systems.
