Ukraine in the world sustainable development rankings

Abstract
The article is analyzed the position of Ukraine in the world rankings for the main characteristics of human development. The main focus is on the Human Development Index of the United Nations Economic Development Program, as a fairly informative integral indicator of the development of society in every country in the world. It is shown that since 1991, there was a trend of gradual decline, the index of human development for our country, what happened in the first place, due to the relative deterioration in comparison with other countries, the rate of the healthy life expectancy and the lowest rate of growth in gross domestic product per person purchasing power parity. It was concluded that all the criteria of human potential of Ukraine is characterized by negative processes, including in the sphere of state regulation of development. In order to achieve significant progress in improving the effectiveness of state regulation requires serious and sustained reform. To do this, take political action to promote innovation, competition and the improvement of the institutional framework, which, in turn, will provide an objective basis for the definition of human development as a priority of state policy.
