UNIVERSITY FACULTIES OF POLITICAL SCIENCE AS A CENTER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The main organizational stages of the development of political science departments in higher educational institutions of Ukraine from the 90s of the twentieth century are revealed to the present. The work of profile departments is considered through the activities of specialized academic councils. Their geography and distribution by specialties are shown. Taking into account that with the development of information technologies, each department was given the opportunity to create its official web-sites and to publish the results of research activities, the issues of scientific communication, in particular, relations with foreign universities and research centers are now relevant.
