Unmanned Combat Vehicles and Ethics

Abstract

Unmanned Combat Vehicle (UCV) has a history of one hundred years. Technological developments of the last decade have provided that these vehicles show diversity in terms of both quantity and range of applications. In todays, especially these vehicles which used with weapon have brought ethical and legal uncertainties. The purpose of this study is determining ethical and legal issues for using in areas of conflict. It is evaluated that considering the use of UCV from the ethical framework will contribute to humanitarian law more to gain interoperability in the international security environment.
