Unsteady numerical estimation of the aerodynamic loads of the Krueger flap
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to study the unsteady aerodynamic interaction between a Krueger flap and a three-element airfoil using the finite volume method to solve the Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equations. For a better understanding of this unsteady interaction, the Krueger flap is placed at different positions. Our results clearly show that the airfoil’s aerodynamic performance and the pressure distributions are strongly influenced by the Krueger flap position.

A Brief Discussion Regarding Types of Cavitation in Squeeze Film Dampers and Cavitation Effects
Squeeze film dampers (SFD) are probably the most used shaft control devices in aircraft jet engines; SFDs consist in oil films, elastic elements and various antirotational devices that tune the stiffness and damping of t...

Blowing jets as a circulation flow control to enhancement the lift of wing or generated power of wind turbine
The goal of this paper is to provide a numerical flow analysis based on RANS equations in two directions: the study of augmented high-lift system for a cross-section airfoil of a wing up to transonic regime and the circu...
Analytical Estimation of Time Dilation of a Satellite in Elliptical Orbit
This article describes the analytical estimation of time dilation along the elliptical orbit of a satellite due to effects of relativity where the functioning has been time-dependent. The satellites in circular orbit are...
