USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BY THE MEDICAL STUDENTS
Journal Title: Journal of Drug Delivery and Therapeutics - Year 2015, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Background: Usage of information technology   is increasing among university students. The extent of usage among medical students is not studied well. The aim of the study is to assess the usage pattern of information technology by first year and second year medical students of government Kilpauk medical college. Chennai. Method : 200 students of first year and second year students were participated in this study. They were interviewed using pretested questionnaire to bring out the different pattern of the internet use and application knowledge of information technology in medical field. Results: Among 200 students 84% of second years and43% of first years access the internet using their mobile phones .The application knowledge of information technology (IT) is 97% in second year students when compared to first year student45%.Majority of students(97%) prefers computer classes to be included in medical curriculum. Conclusion: The usage of information technology by the second year medical students are increasing when compared to the newly admitted students  and also the purpose of using IT and knowledge of  IT in medical field also improving when they are entering second year. Key words: computer, internet , information technology.
A validated stability indicating LC-MS compatible RP-HPLC assay and dissolution methods for marketed formulation Stribild
Objective: The prime objective of the current work is to develop a simple, rapid, efficient, economical and stability indicating LC-MS (liquid chromatography–mass spectroscopy) compatible RP - HPLC (reverse phase – high...
Formulation development and optimization of fast dissolving film containing carvedilol nanocrystals for improved bioavailability
In this work, fast dissolving films (FDF) were prepared using nanocrystal formulations in order to optimise dissolution properties of lipophilic, poorly soluble drug Cavedilol. Drug nanocrystals are crystals with a size...
IDENTIFICATION OF BIOLOGICAL COMPONENTS FROM POTENTIAL BONE HEALER MEDICINAL PLANTS
Nature has been a wellspring of therapeutic for a vast number of years and a great number of present day drugs have been separated from plant resources. It has been evaluated that natural prescriptions serve around 80% o...
SOLUBILITY ENHANCEMENT OF POOR WATER SOLUBLE DRUGS BY SOLID DISPERSION: A REVIEW
The solubility behavior of drugs remains one of the most exigent aspects in formulation development. With the advent of combinatorial chemistry and high throughput screening, the number of poorly water soluble compounds...
BILOSOME: A BILE SALT BASED NOVEL CARRIER SYSTEM GAINING INTEREST IN PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH
The human body has long provided pharmaceutical science with biomaterials of interesting applications. Bile salts (BSs) are biomaterials reminiscent of traditional surfactants with peculiar structure and self-assembled t...
