USE OF THE MEDIAN IN THE ANALYSIS OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2010, Vol 13, Issue 2
Abstract
The concept of median is defined. The advantage of the median in special cases and the comparison with the classical arithmetical mean and weighted mean are presented. The case of discrepant results is analyzed. The calculation of the median uncertainty, including a type B component, is discussed. The calculation of the supplementary uncertainty sB is illustrated for two applications concerning nuclear data. A suggestion for environment is indicated.

ON THE SPEED OF CONVERGENCE OF THE SEQUENCES
The study of any nontrivial convergence of a sequence of real numbers conducts to the problem of finding the limit but also to the problem of the speed of this convergence. This speed of convergence is characterized by t...
A MOKOBODZKI TYPE THEOREM
This work deals with the nonlinear potential theory actually with the corresponding specific order. Thus we shall propose a definition of the specific order with respect to a nonlinear operator (respectively to a nonline...
A NEW GEOMETRIC INEQUALITY AND ITS APPLICATIONS
In this paper, we establish a ternary quadratic geometric inequality involving a triangle and a point by using the polar moment of the inertia inequality of M.S. Klamkin. We also give new result some applications, and pr...
