USE OF THE MEDIAN IN THE ANALYSIS OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2010, Vol 13, Issue 2
Abstract
The concept of median is defined. The advantage of the median in special cases and the comparison with the classical arithmetical mean and weighted mean are presented. The case of discrepant results is analyzed. The calculation of the median uncertainty, including a type B component, is discussed. The calculation of the supplementary uncertainty sB is illustrated for two applications concerning nuclear data. A suggestion for environment is indicated.

ON A PROPERTY OF THE SPLINE FUNCTIONS
The definition of the spline functions as solutions of a variational problem is presented in the preliminaries of this paper and are shown some theorems regarding to the existence and uniqueness. The main result of this...
STUDY TROUGH METALLOGRAPHICAL METHOD AND X-RAY FLUORESCENCE<br /> TECHNIQUE, ON THE SOME ROMAN BROOCHES DISCOVERED AT TOMIS-CONSTANTA
XRF method was used at the same time with a metallographic study in order to determine the concentration of the main compounds of raw materials and, in the same time, of the alloy types used in the ancient period. I...

CONTINUATION METHOD FOR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS WITH UNIFORM ELLIPTICAL OPERATORS
In this note we study further a method that linking problem for operators of Laplace with Diriclet problem corresponding to a linear operator Diriclet elliptical. So we are able to prove existence and uniqueness stabilit...
SOME CONSEQUENCES OF DRIMBE INEQUALITY
In this paper we present a refinement of inequality: ∑sinA/2≥5/4+r/2R who are true in any acute triangle ABC and some consequences of DRIMBE inequality.
