USE OF THEATER PEDAGOGY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUSICAL INTERESTS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN THE SCHOOLS OF MOUNTAIN REGIONS

Abstract
The article reveals psychological and pedagogical basics of the development of musical interests of primary school pupils by means of theatre pedagogy. The author notes that musical abilities can be successfully developed in the process of musical activity, perception of music and musical creativity. Music lesson, which is the main form of the organization of music and educational activity of schoolchildren, includes various kinds of pupils’ musical activities. Preparing to music lesson depends on teacher’s professional skills and competence as well as on their ability to organize a class and realize the educational and developmental potential of music material. It is emphasized that teachers should choose music material in accordance with the pupils’ age features as well as their level of music abilities. It is also important to use innovative methods and means of teaching. The elements of theatre art and the technology of theatre pedagogy are considered to be some innovative approaches to teaching music.
