Using an MPI Cluster in the Control of a Mobile Robots System
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2014, Vol 5, Issue 6
Abstract
Recently, HPC (High Performance Computing) systems have gone from supercomputers to clusters. The clusters are used in all tasks that require very high computing power such as weather forecasting, climate research, molecular modeling, physical simulations, cryptanalysis, etc. The use of clusters is increasingly important in the scientific community, where the need for high performance computing (HPC) is still growing. In this paper, we propose an improvement of a mobile robots system control by using an MPI (Message Passing Interface) cluster. This cluster will launch, manipulate and process data from multiple robots simultaneously.

Investigating the Effect of Different Kernel Functions on the Performance of SVM for Recognizing Arabic Characters
A considerable progress in the recognition techniques of Latin and Chinese characters has been achieved. By contrast, Arabic Optical character Recognition is still lagging in spite that the interest and research in this...
The Identification of Randles Impedance Model Parameters of a PEM Fuel Cell by the Least Square Method
One of the problems of industrial development of fuel cells is the reliability of their performances with time. The solution of this problem is through by the development of improved diagnostic methods such as the identi...
Diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease based on Wavelet Transform and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients
The aim of this study presented in this paper is to determine the choice of the appropriate wavelet analyzer with the method of extraction of MFCC coefficients for an assistance in the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. T...
Neural Network Classification of White Blood Cell using Microscopic Images
With the technological advances in medical field, the need for faster and more accurate analysis tools becomes essential for better patients’ diagnosis. In this work, the image recognition problem of white blood cells (W...
An Extension of the Bisection Theorem to Symmetrical Circuits with Cross-Coupling
This paper demonstrates that the bisection theorem can be applied to the differential and common-mode analysis of balanced symmetrical circuits with cross coupling. This class of circuits is often found in the literature...
