Using Synchronization of Interaction Techniques for Implementing a Hypervideo System
Journal Title: Revista Romana de Interactiune Om-Calculator - Year 2009, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
Multimedia applications use special techniques to browse their own content such as hypertext and hypermedia. These two concepts provide for the users semantic alternative in accessing a multimedia document. A particular way of achieving the concept of hypermedia is hypervideo. The main difficulty for realize such a system is given the fact that video data has spatial feature as well as a temporal dimension that means it lasts in time. To implement a hypervideo system has to define many modules having specialized functions and that are going to communicate each other. Thus, the article presents a data structure adapted to manage the synchronization of user interaction events, according to the timeline of the video sequence and the objects in view, which received the event. Besides the particular data structure are also presented usual operations for its maintaining as well as to explore it in the hypervideo system context

Improving parsing using morpho-syntactic and semantic information
In this paper, we present the efforts of creating a syntactic parser with a very good performance on Romanian sentences. Instead of creating a parser from scratch, we decided to test the freely available existing ones an...
Computer Assisted Music Composition
The belief that computers cannot play a central role in music composition is wrong. Research has been conducted in this field for over 50 years. In this paper, we propose an application which can be of real help to a com...
Extracting human features to enhance the user experience on a training station for manual operations
This paper presents an image analysis approach for extracting human features. These features are used in a physical training station for manual operations to support training environment adaptation based on predefined us...
Experimentation of an acceptance model of e-learning systems
The aim of this paper is to test a model of acceptance of e-learning systems using the UTAUT reference model. After a brief description of UTAUT model, are described the proposed model and the assumptions, methods used a...
Interaction Techniques for Satellite Image Processing on the Grid
The current paper presents the Human-Computer interaction techniques, which follow from executing the business part of an application on the Grid. It presents the way in which such a software deals with data management,...
