Utilizarea principiilor recuperării medicale în practica veterinară
Journal Title: Medicamentul Veterinar / Veterinary Drug - Year 2018, Vol 12, Issue 2
Abstract
Physical therapy is the conventional standard of care in human medicine and has proved to maximize the overall physical recovery of patients. Used in conjunction with standard medical and surgical treatment plus proper pain management, rehabilitation can facilitate early and more complete recovery from surgery and trauma. Advances in veterinary medicine have led to a longer life expectancy for most domestic pets, which in turn has increased the number of animals with chronic discomfort, disease and geriatric maladies. Physical rehabilitation modalities provide options for treatment and symptomatic relief of these patients.
