Abstract

Vaccination is a highly effective method of preventing certain infectious diseases. Immunization saves millions of lives and is widely recognized as one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions. Vaccines are generally very safe and serious adverse reactions are uncommon. Vaccine recommendations for adolescents and adults are based on a variety of factors including age, overall health status, and medical history.
