VALIDATED SPECTROPHOTMETRIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF SALBUTAMOL SULPHATE IN BULK AND PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORMS
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Pharmacy (IRJP) - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
A new, simple, accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the estimation of Salbutamol sulphate in bulk and in pharmaceutical formulations. Salbutamol sulphate shows ʎ max at 292 nm. The drug follows the beer’s lambert’s law in the concentration range of 20-100µ ml. the method was validated by following the analytical performance parameters as suggested by the international conference on harmonization which included accuracy, precision, linearity. All validation parameters were with in the acceptable range. The developed method was successfully applied to estimate the amount of Salbutamol sulphate in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms.
