VARIABILITY OF SURNAME OF ZHYTOMYR REGION XVI–XVIII CENTURIES

Abstract
In the article derivational variants of twolexeme male family names of Zhytomyr region in XVI–XVIII centuries is reviewed. Analysis of its allowed to conclude that the absence in this period established norms led to the identification of parallel variants in naming of one person. Surnames of patronymic formants is characterized by grammatical variability, which manifests itself in the availability of structural word choices. The most widely variant connections is characteristic for patronymic formant -ovych (-evych). This patronymic formant forms parallel variants of ш, -enk(o), -k(o), -en(ia), -ev-sk(iy). There is smaller number of parallel using of suffixes -enk(o) // -ovych (-evych), -ych, ø and -ych // -enk(o), -en(ia), ш.
