VERBE SUBJECTIF ET DISCOURS SCIENTIFIQUE : MODALISATION, EVALUATION ET TRADUCTION

Abstract
This study concerns the analysis of the subjective dimension of scientific discourse (henceforth ADS). Through the questions of modalization, assessment and assertion, this work aims to examine more specifically the concept of verb (inter) subjective. The positioning of researcher in SHS will be detailed in order to bring out the criteria of axiological evaluation. The terminology used will reflect those of the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), the Discourse Analysis (AD) and the criticism of argumentation in France. The configurations of evaluation and enunciation highlighted are problematize subjectivity and commitment conveyed by the verb estimate. This reflection is based on and leads to a scientific literature corpus analysis (especially, doctoral theses in Linguistics and French Biology) drew on Scientext. Other examples will be used to support our research. In the present work, we will present, any first, the framework for our analysis (1). We will, then, set out the results of our empirical observations (2). We will study, in the end, the problematic of the verb translation placed under investigation (3).
