VERS UNE MISE EN TOURISME ÉCO-CULTUREL DANS LA ZONE DU GHOUFI , BATNA – ALGÉRIE

Abstract
The present study has been conducted in the tourist area of Ghoufi at the level of the commune of Ghassira, wilaya of Batna during the spring season (March, April and May) in 2014, in order to detect places suited for ecotourism and cultural activities. The objective of this study is to determine the socioeconomic characteristics of visitors and the reason for which they came. The fieldwork has been carried out based on a pre-established questionnaire and two ecotourism circuits, in order to assess and develop the potential natural and cultural resources that can develop in natural and cultural products of high level. The growth of this activity presents major issues not only for the economy and the local population but also for the safeguarding of the natural and cultural heritage of the region. In addition, the absence of an adequate and coherent tourism strategy, of the coordination and awareness, as well as the imperative to register in a sustainable tourism development path, are all reasons that prevent the sector to fully benefit from its positive effects.
