Abstract
he paper represents a case study which provides an overview of the main concepts regarding the development of video games, and of the methods used by independent game developers to put these concepts into practice. The notions presented in the article will be highlighted using an original project, Beneath a Crimson Sky, a flight simulator developed using the Microsoft XNA framework.
