Abstract
The current economic situation in Ukraine shows that one of the most influential factors that significantly hinders the development of the country is threatening to increase the debt burden settings, excessive fundraising is not enough on favorable terms, along with the irrational use hinder long-term economic growth and state financial torpedo security. Therefore, improving the management of public debt and its servicing is an actual problem, because only an effective debt policy could raise the level of debt security will reduce the size of government deficits and to promote the economic strength of the country. Therefore, the need of further study such aspects as the assessment of the real state of internal and external debt of Ukraine, prognostic assessment and analysis of the cost of servicing public debt, as well as working out solutions to debt problems in the state budget. As a result, the article description of the state of public debt Ukraine in terms of its species. Analyzed the cost of servicing domestic and external public debt of Ukraine. The presented projections of the cost of servicing the public debt indicate a further aggravation of the debt crisis since the peak of payments falls on the 2015- 2016 biennium. In order to reduce the negative impact of rising costs of servicing the public debt on economic development offered suggestions for improving the security of the state debt in the medium perspective
