WCZESNOŚREDNIOWIECZNY ROGOWY GROT STRZAŁY ZE WZGÓRZA ZAMKOWEGO W SANDOMIERZU

Abstract
During the excavations in 1959 on the Castle Hill in Sandomierz the horn arrowhead was found. Similar artefacts are connected with nomads and were in use from the 9th to the 14th c. It is belived that this kind of arrowheads arrived from Steppe to the Ruthenians. Specimen from Sandomierz could be dated to the 2nd half of the 13th c. and connected with Mongol/Ruthenian invasions.
