Web-Based DSS Developement

Abstract
Web- based DSS (Decision Support System ) are useful for saving and analyzing a big amount of information. Information is saved in Data Warehouses, where once you insert data and then you can’t change or delete them from the system. Web-based DSS are useful for those companies which has a lot of parts all around the world. Using these systems all information about organization is centralized in one place, and you can use it from anywhere if you have an internet connection. According to the situation of developing insurance business in Lithuania, web-based system can be used to help assured people to find the best offer of insurance service. Assured man fills the form which is in web page and then analyzing tools of web-based DSS gives results in tables or diagrams. This is made without a touch of man, so the system can automate the analysis of insurance companies offering services, prices and reliability. The design of Web-based DSS for insurance service is described in this work. This system uses net connection, where are a lot of viruses, so it is very important to define safety requirements. Also, the practicality and clarity of interface for assured people is very important, because assured man is the main user of the system. Web-based DSS for insurance services are not commercial, but it is very useful for analysis. So the development of this project would help for assured people to find the best offer of insurance companies, and for insurance companies this system would help to find new customers.
