WHAT IS THE “NEW” GEOGRAPHY IN AN ASPECT OF EVERYDAY LIFE IN INFORMATION-TECHNOLOGICAL ERA OF CIVILIZATION? (Online-thinking at GIS-Forum-2017 in Kharkiv)

Abstract

The main purpose of the article is to show a new aspect of the “new” geography through the analysis of geographical business-environment which traditionally has been representing its achievements at GIS-Forums for 6 years already. Those large-scale events (in 2017 were represented 47 firms) are a convincing example of realization of the mentioned “new” geography scientific doctrine. These large-scale events (in 2017 were representatives of the 47 firms) is a convincing example of implementing the scientific doctrine of the “new” geography. The GIS-Forum is already traditionally carried out in the online audience available to participants on pre-orders, and offline on the portal of the GIS-Forum. Online presentations and participation of a wider audience in the discussions, workshops and exhibitions provided opportunities to a wide range of participants from different countries all around the world directly to feel like a member of an interdisciplinary international community, in which the main place belongs to geographers of one of the leading scientific centers in Ukraine. GIS-forum testifies to the success of the search for “ecological niche” of a new geography in an innovation and investment environment of today’s world, leveled the limits of the traditional Earth Sciences and state borders, but gaining significance the problem-oriented structure of business geography.
