What is the scope to test a smoking cessation intervention named at young people admitted to hospital?
Journal Title: The Journal of Health Design - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The hospital setting introduces a number of challenges to implementing this type of intervention, including recruitment barriers and high attrition rates. Patient engagement in smoking cessation is likely to be affected by the reason for admission and patients’ stage of change To be successful, smoking cessation interventions may need to be tailored to the patients’ degree of motivation, as evidenced by their stage of change.
