What is the scope to test a smoking cessation intervention named at young people admitted to hospital?

Journal Title: The Journal of Health Design - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2

Abstract

 The hospital setting introduces a number of challenges to implementing this type of intervention, including recruitment barriers and high attrition rates.  Patient engagement in smoking cessation is likely to be affected by the reason for admission and patients’ stage of change  To be successful, smoking cessation interventions may need to be tailored to the patients’ degree of motivation, as evidenced by their stage of change.
