Abstract
The aim of the article is to present scientific output of William F. Sharpe, one of the winners of the Nobel Prize in economics. The article discusses the Sharpe scientific achievements in the field of financial economics, specially the capital asset pricing model - CAPM and the Sharpe Ratio.
