Abstract
Zbliżający się jubileusz stulecia KUL zmobilizował zarówno pojedyncze osoby, zespoły badawcze, jak i władze uczelni do podejmowania różnorodnych działań. Organizowane są konferencje, wystawy, przygotowywane okolicznościowe publikacje, których celem jest ukazanie dziejów uniwersytetu, niekiedy bardzo trudnych, bo uwikłanych w sytuację społeczno-polityczną powojennej Polski, scharakteryzowanie kierunków badań, osiągnięć i dorobku pracowników, sylwetek wybitnych uczonych i absolwentów, ale przede wszystkim przedstawienie misji uczelni i sposobów realizacji przesłania, które przyświecało założycielom.
