Women, popular militancy and subjectivity. The case of the Federation of Land, Housing and Habitat (FTV)

Abstract
This paper’s main objective is to investigate, from a gender perspective in the everyday life of women who play various roles and militant actions in the sociopolitical organization called the Federation of Land, Housing and Habitat (FTV). In this regard, the article focuses its attention both in regard to tensions and the most important obstacles that they have identifed and to carry out their militant practices, as well as in regard to the strategies that come into play for overcome the obstacles identifed in attempts to reconcile the responsibilities of the role of militant and the other starring roles for them in everyday life. Also, from setting up a typology explores the possible relationship between militant involvement and transformation of subjectivity. To account for the proposed objective observations made numerous nonparticipants observations in the different organizational structures of the organization and we conducted interviews with the militants.
